Your personal information will be destroyed without delay once the
purpose for its collection and use has been achieved.
(However, exceptions apply when retention is necessary under laws and
regulations such as the Commercial Act.)
Should it become necessary to retain your information beyond the above
retention period, we will obtain your consent.
Procedures and Methods for the Destruction of Personal Information
The company's personal information destruction procedures and methods
are as follows.
a. Destruction Procedure
Information entered by users for purposes such as membership
registration is transferred to a separate database (or separate file
cabinet for paper documents) after the purpose is fulfilled. It is
stored for a certain period based on internal policies and other
information protection reasons under relevant laws and regulations
(refer to retention and usage period), then destroyed.
This personal information is not used for any purpose other than
retention unless required by law.
b. Destruction Methods
Personal information printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or
incineration.
Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using
technical methods that prevent data recovery.
Your personal information is, in principle, destroyed without delay once
the purpose for its collection and use is achieved. (However, exceptions
apply when retention is necessary under laws such as the Commercial
Act.)
If there is a need to retain your personal information beyond the above
retention period, we will obtain your consent.
Technical Measures for Personal Information Protection
Mercury Fiber Optics implements the following technical
measures to ensure the security of your personal information, preventing
its loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage:
Your personal information is protected through encryption of files and
transmitted data, or by using file locking functions (Lock). Critical
data is further safeguarded via separate security features.
Mercury Fiber Optics employs security devices (SSL) utilizing
encryption algorithms to safely transmit personal information over
networks.
To prevent the leakage of your personal information due to hacking or
similar threats, we utilize devices that block external intrusions.
Additionally, intrusion detection systems are installed on each server
to monitor for intrusions 24 hours a day.
Entrustment of Personal Information Processing
Mercury Fiber Optics does not outsource personal information to external companies without your consent.
Should such a need arise in the future, we will notify you of the outsourcing recipient and the details of the outsourced tasks, and obtain your prior consent if necessary.
Opinion Gathering and Complaint Handling
